Access is Denied error when trying to record using vMix
You may receive the following error message when attempting to start a recording in vMix:
Access is denied. (Exception from HRESULT: 0x80070005 (E_ACCESSDENIED))
There are two possible causes:
1. Incorrect folder.
Double check the folder selected as the recording filename is accessible. Try a different folder and see if it works.

2. Avast, AVG or another third party anti virus software installed.
It is not recommended to use third party anti virus software when using vMix as they are known to interfere. We recommend uninstalling this program and instead using the inbuilt Windows Defender to secure your system.
