Fullscreen Performance

If high render times and low frame rates are experienced when using the Fullscreen output in vMix, please follow the performance

guide below.

1. Upgrade to Windows 8.1 or higher

Windows has improved multi display performance in Windows 8 and higher, so upgrading is recommended if you have not done so already.

2. If using Windows 7, make sure Aero mode is enabled on the desktop.

To do this, right click the desktop and select Personalize and scroll down to select a theme under the "Aero Themes" section.

3. Open up vMix and check the following settings:

Click settings and then click the Performance tab:

Untick "Synchronize Output with Refresh Rate"

Tick Enable FlipEx on Fullscreen

4. Make sure all displays are connected to the same graphics card

If some monitors are connected to the motherboard and some connected to the graphics card, performance will suffer as

vMix has to copy the video between the two for every frame.
